The Mathematics of Poker

Poker is a mathematical game and a game of incomplete information. It may sound complicated, but in reality it is not. In a very basic level, the poker begins with the selection of hands you play. If you go into the pot with the best hand more often than your opponents, win more often than your opponents

Avoiding tilt (losing control because of the emotions)

Another great skill that must be part of the strategy of a winning poker player is to avoid tilt. Your opponents will use your emotions against you, but only if you let it. The emotional game leads to bad decisions and losing money. Being on tilt and upset can happen to anyone and sometimes, the only way to fix it is taking a break. You can do it quietly, the game will be there in ten minutes. In fact, they will be there tomorrow.

Decisions for the new poker player

Decide if you want to play gambling  poker to win or for fun. Playing a consistently winning level requires time and effort. In other words, it takes work. There is nothing wrong with playing poker for fun, but there is no reason to plan to lose, even if you’re playing for fun. Decide what kind of poker player you want to be before you provide your decisions and your sessions.
